Beatrice (Mrs. Louis Ribak) Mandelman (1912 - 1998)

Arriving in Taos, New Mexico in 1944, she had studied in Paris and was considered one of the major upcoming artists of the New York School. In Taos, she and her husband, Louis Ribak, founded the Taos Valley Art School and helped found the Taos Art Association and in the early 1950s, the Stables Gallery.
